Alex is the founder of Alimental Life LLC and the creator of Active Engagement Coaching™ (AEC™). Alimental Life was born out of a time of transition, with the mission to help others find balance, harmony, and overall wellness in their lives. With over 15 years in the global health and nutrition industry, Alex brings extensive knowledge of health, nutrition, food, and various wellness practices from around the world. A certified personal trainer, Alex once thrived on running 5ks, marathons, trail runs, and ultras. While her running days are over, she still enjoys hiking, backpacking, and powerlifting.
Alex's extensive corporate business experience includes public speaking, event planning, global business organization, food manufacturing, franchise acquisitions, real estate, operational efficiency, consultative selling, marketing, business startups, corporate training, employee management, and much more. While she loves business consulting, Alex noticed that many of her clients struggled with personal boundaries, burnout, health issues, and challenges at home. This realization, combined with her own experiences of health issues and burnout, led her to create Alimental Life, grounded in the belief that productivity starts at home.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Alex began life coaching young adults and teens, recognizing a severe lack of support for them and their parents. As a business consultant working closely with local small businesses, many operating from home, she observed overwhelmed parents and their silently struggling kids. Teens were increasingly reluctant to drive, pursue higher education, and parents felt helpless in supporting their kids' transition into adulthood. Witnessing this "failure to launch" phenomenon, Alex drew from her own experiences as the child of two entrepreneurs. She understood the pressures of being an overachieving kid and wished she had been better prepared for the real world.
Alex's passion for mentoring and coaching teens didn't start with the pandemic. She had always engaged with young people through her business, offering internships and supporting neighborhood kids with summer chores. She loves to give back and help the next generation build skills, confidence, and self-worth. Her expertise extends to working with challenging situations such as mental health issues, disabilities, and risky behaviors, stemming from her volunteer work with Stand Up for Kids, a nonprofit supporting homeless youth and teens in Phoenix. Over five years, Alex dedicated herself to homeless outreach, helping kids get off the streets, access medical care, and find the support they needed to become independent.
In addition to founding Alimental Life, Alex serves as the Vice President of Mindfulness First, a nonprofit teaching mindfulness to Title One elementary school students. She is a regular speaker for the Arizona Future Business Leaders of America (AZ FBLA) and the director of Venture Cafe Phoenix, a local nonprofit supporting entrepreneurs and innovators to drive economic development in Phoenix. This platform offers the next generation opportunities to volunteer, intern, network, and explore different career paths. Moreover, Alex founded Life Skillz Lab, an initiative that teaches young adults and teens essential life skills no longer covered in traditional schooling.
Alex specializes in blending her three worlds: life coaching, business consulting, and volunteer work. This unique hands-on approach allows her to connect quicker and achieve results faster than most coaches. She loves helping her clients find their joy again, create balance in their lives, discover their purpose, and figure out how to monetize it. Her motto is, "If you truly love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life."
